Triple Chocolate Mug Cake

Triple Chocolate Mug Cake feature

Do you ever find yourself trawling the pantry, fridge or freezer of an evening looking for something to satisfy those sweet cravings? I’m going to be the first one to put my hand up and say ‘sure do’. Most of the time I’ll just grab a square or 2 of dark chocolate and a cuppa but sometimes that’s just not enough!

So I’ve created a Triple Chocolate Mug Cake that requires just 5 minutes of your time to make. You can have those sweet cravings and be digging into to one of these little treasures in the same amount of time it takes you to make your cuppa! Plus you get a spare one to share with a someone special.

Think warm moist chocolate cake with a molten lava chocolate centre, then thinking about spoonfuls like this melting away in your mouth, so, so good!

The triple chocolate comes from 3 simple ingredients….cocoa, chocolate fudge topping and some dark chocolate chips, that’s about as fancy as these little treasures get, the remaining ingredients are just your average baking staples.

Triple Chocote Mug key ingredients

These mug cakes are a one bowl mix which always gets a huge tick from me.

Zadada and I have enjoyed 3 rounds of these delicious Triple Mug Cakes in the last couple of weeks, the kidlets just one 😉 They are dangerously delicious but so worth the calories. And because they’re so quick to make you can wait until the kids are in bed to sneak them in, soaking up every delicious mouthful all by yourselves.

We’re looking forward to another round  this week, sorry kidlets, hehehehe, not!

  1. I have been known to whip up a batch of custard which I can happily demolish all on it’s own lonesome, but if I want something to soak it up, I can make a upside down jam sponge pudding in the microwave in minutes! This mug cake looks the bomb. You so clever!

  2. Oh I love the concept of this. My daughter is coeliac and only last night we tried a cookie in a cup, it was very much a cookie but the concept was little dry for her. I’m on the hunt for a simply Gluten Free Cake in a Mug receipe now.

Maybe try this with a gluten free SR. Flour and gluten free choc chips? Good luck! The cookie in a cup sounds clever too

You won’t get a rock cake here lovely at worst you may need to cook it 20 seconds longer if it’s too gooey for your liking. It really is super dooper divine, enjoy lovely ladies xx
