Fabulous Foodie Fridays #52

FFF 52 birthday

Happy Fabulous Foodie Friday lovelies!

This week is not just ANY week this week we are celebrating Fabulous Foodie Fridays 1st anniversary! That’s 52 weeks of absolute, inspiring, deliciousness!!!

Hats off to the 2 beautiful ladies Lauren and Lucy for creating such an amazing space for us all to showcase our foodie posts!  And continuing those hats off to all our amazing bloggers who link up such scrummy yummy posts each week, you guys rock, this party wouldn’t be what it is without you! I’ve been thanking my lucky stars ever since Lucy and Lauren invited me to co-host with them back in February, it really is such a pleasure and honour.

Speaking of pleasures and honours did you see the three of us got together (a first of many threesome catch-ups I hope) last weekend?  We attended a conference called ‘Run The World’ it’s Australia’s largest female entrepreneur conference, it was amazingly inspiring and enjoyable.

FFF Ladies

The day went so quickly, as they say ‘time flies when you’re having fun’!

Now last week we saw 70+ recipes linked up with FFF’s, this little space is getting bigger and better every single week, so exciting! So without further adieu I give you my 5 picks from last week!

Sweetest Menu had me drooling over her Hello Dolly Magic Skillet Cookie. I just love the way it slices like a pie. It would definitely make for a fun and scrumptious dessert to entertain with.

With the weather in these northern parts of NSW finally starting to cool off, soup has been on my mind, this Easy Potato & Leek Soup from Life at Number 5 has been added to my winter soup list, I can’t wait to give it a whirl!

This week has seen me playing nurse to one Zadada, the poor fellow has been in quite a state with some pretty major back issues. I’m hoping we’re now moving in a more positive, recovering direction after a few nasty bumps in our road. I think a round of Domestic Gothess’ Camomile Tea & Lemon Shortbread may be in order to help restore a little bit of calm for us both.

I’ve always been a fan of the kebab on a stick, the kidlets love them too. These Chicken Fajita Kebabs from Behind The Blonde look and sound so good. I feel very fortunate that in our Northern NSW climate we can pretty much BBQ all year round.

Kebabs

I do enjoy a sausage roll but I haven’t ever tried the combination Good Food Week has cleverly put together for us all. These Apple, Fennel and Pork Sausage Rolls may just have to get a trial run in the Zamamabakes kitchen when Zadada’s back is all mended, gee wiz they’re making me hungry just thinking about them.
