Fabulous Foodie Fridays #47

Fabulous Foodie Fridays Feature

Anyone else feeling that this last week has absolutely flown past or is it just me?

I think school holidays have played a pretty big role in making ours blink by.

Here’s a peek at some real moments from in-between Fabulous Foodie Friday rounds……

  • I’ve filled a spray bottle twice with food colouring, blue was our choice of colour this week (one little 4-year-old is feeling the effects of trying to keep up with her older brother and sister, if you’ve got no idea what I’m talking about check out my Fabulous Foodie Fridays post from last week).
  • I got mashed potato in my eye, has that ever happened to you before? It bloody hurts!
  • We’ve had our big puppy dog to the vet, he has himself an ear infection, the good news is he didn’t need surgery like we first thought and his meds are kicking in!
  • My mouth has been watering as I’ve made my way though all the deliciousness from last weeks FFF’s party.
  • I’ve discovered a soundtrack, it’s called ‘kids bickering’, some days it plays louder than others, have you heard it? For some reason I can’t get the remote to control it! Heheheh… life really isn’t that bad, I think we’re normal, we actually had a really lovely day out on Tuesday with some very special friends.Fresh air, sunshine, good company and maybe a piece of cake or 3 really does work wonders 😉

The bright side of a week passing so quickly is that a delicious round of Fabulous Foodie Fridays is here before we know it?! Without further adieu here are my picks from last week……

Vegetaraian has got me bowl, mixer and ingredients with this Roasted Vegetable Tart. I love how delicious it looks and how simple it sounds to create. Yum!

While we’re on the savoury wagon Pretty Wee Things has made these Veggie Fritters for Kids (and Adults), I’m planning to test them out on one 4-year-old very soon, I know the older 2 will love them.

I made a version of The Sassy Cook’s Mango, Almond & Vanilla Bean Ice Cream over the weekend. I did make mine strawberry only because Coles was all out of their Frozen mango pieces, I sweetened it a little with some agave syrup and I tell you for an Ice Cream treat that’s on the healthy side this little treasure really is the goods.
