Fabulous Foodie Fridays #42

Welcome to another week of Fabulous Foodie Fridays.

You may notice there’s not a feature recipe by the lovely Lucy, Lauren or myself this week…..We’ve decided to change our Fabulous Foodie Fridays parties up a bit from now on. Our gorgeous bloggers are linking up such a fantastic collection of recipes (over 50 each week!), so we feel it very appropriate to hone in even more on all this amazing talent, as of this week, we’ll be stepping back and letting all of the linked up recipes take the spotlight.

Our favourite picks from each weeks party will still be included, (sharing the Foodie love is what this little piece of cyber space is all about).

Can you believe it’s been almost a year since Fabulous Foodie Fridays started? (on that note I have to say a massive congratulations to Lucy & Lauren, you girls are absolutely amazing, creating such a brilliant foodie party, it’s such an honour to have teamed up with you both!) I’m still pinching myself about being here!

To all our gorgeous bloggers we thank you for bringing your posts of deliciousness to our party each week and to our readers thank you for visiting the party, we love having every single one of you.

Enough of me waffling (one of my special talents!)…..we have our 42nd party to enjoy so sit back relax, grab a beverage that suits your time of day (confession: I’ve only ever consumed vodka twice in the AM daylight hours) and let those taste buds start tingling!

Last week was yet another week of amazing creations, perusing my way through all your delicious recipes is such hard work, (actually it’s really not) but narrowing down 5 of you to feature really is!

I do love a homemade dip and this White Bean, Chickpea and Yuzu Hummus from vegeTARAian had me very intrigued, so intrigued I had to google what Yuzu juice is…..do you know about Yuzu juice? I can’t wait to test this little treasure out on my hummus loving kidlets!

Fetta with Tomato & Basil Bruschetta, I don’t know why I’ve never tried such a combination? When my Mum saw this creation from our lovely Lucy at Bake Play Smile last week she asked me when I was making it and to let her know, she’d bring the wine! Love you Mum xx

Land Of Zonkt made what she titled a Crazy Wacky Depression Carrot Cake, there’s no egg, milk or butter which makes it ideal for an array of dietary requirements. I call this cake very clever indeed.

These Brown Sugar Whoopie Pies from Inner City Stinge had me as soon as I read the words white chocolate (yes there is white chocolate in that filling!!). They look so light and delicious. I loved reading these little treasures are about half the size of an American whoopie pie and contain fewer calories, which means we can enjoy 2 or 3 extra doesn’t it?

whoopiepie5-636x310Mars Bars and I go a long way back, they were the star in the very first no bake slice I ever ate. Now I have Basil & Chook tempting me, bringing back all these delicious Mars Bar memories with her Mars Bar Chocolate Balls, 10 minutes and 5 simple ingredients will have you on your way to whipping up these little mouthfuls of bliss.
