Want a chance to win a great little package prize??? Read on…….

For those of you following my page on Facebook, you may have observed I’ve been trying to spruce up my family room. I have a slight fascination with geometric shapes and gorgeous bright colours at the moment, if you asked me why I think I would just say because they make me feel happy, focused and tidy, strange combination of words I know but that’s how it is.

I discovered my favourite colour almost by accident, I looked around my house one day and noticed my fridge (which I painted a green tinged blue), my dining room chairs (painted a deep stormy sea blue), clock (sky blue)… you get the idea! It’s the colour I gravitate to, and I think it’s because it’s so calming and the same colour as the sky and sea, both of which I love to photograph.

My favourite colour at the moment is red. It brightens up any room with just a small dash of colour whether it be a cushion or a mixmaster! Love the geometric design of the tiles you have!

We have just bought our first house so have decided to ditch our old (neutral coloured) soft furnishings and accessories before we move in and replace with bright geometric, retro style pieces. I love burnt orange, yellow and bright blue together so your beautiful selection of cushions and coasters would look fantastic!

Burnt orange. It’s rich, accentuates basically any other colour and is strikingly different. My love of this colour began with a jumper and matching knee high socks when I was 10 and has been my preferred colour ever since.

In a world of gloomy grey and boring black , I’m that splash of colour, YELLOW, the sunshine on a cloudy day, who does her best to add a little sparkle and fun, to fight the battle against being dull !

I have decided my new favourite colour is red. I have always tended to decorate in the cooler blue tones but with an almost completed renovation I am stepping out of my comfort zone and going for reds to brighten up our dining & lounge rooms.

I am a big fan of geometric patterns, have some lime green and white patterned cushions on my chocolate lounge. Although a big fan of lime am going to go with my other favourite colour, red. I am so happy with my kitchen colour scheme. Th red adds a little touch of warmth to the other neutral tones. So am going with red for winter.

Colours set moods, express ideas, grab our attention and I think we alter the colours of things to facilitate this. Just ask the fashion industry! Haha.

We alter the colours in our environment to please us and make us happy – so I totally understand where you’re coming from in relation to your living area needing to be bright and spruced. The geometric style trend is inviting for adults and children!

My favourite colour would be YELLOW. I think yellow is an uplifting colour with zing and adds a fresh zest in a room. It’s warm, dazzling and intense qualities set a positive mood in any atmosphere!
