3 Ingredient Salted Caramel Fudge

Hope the school holidays are treating everyone kindly, kidlets or no kidlets ūüėČ

The first half of last week was quite a rainy one here for us in Northern NSW, not a great way to start the holidays but we weren’t about to let that fact get in the way of¬†some school holiday fun.

What better time is there to get creating in the kitchen than when you have 3 kidlets home on school holidays and its wet and cold outside?!

Cue one 3 Ingredient Salted Caramel Tim Tam Fudge, it’s a mouthful to say but such a delicious one to consume ūüėČ

I’m going to back track a little here…….The Last week of term 2 our¬†Mr 10 had his end of term Scout party and that always comes with a take-a-plate-request which I have no problems with what so ever, you guys know I love any excuse to get baking and creating in the kitchen except for when I forget that a particular Scout night is in fact¬†the last¬†Scout night of term! I’m going with a Mummy oversight, it seems I’m turning into quite the Pro!

So I think you have the picture, we had an end of term Scout party and I had forgotten all about the¬†¬†¬†¬† take-a-plate-request (it was the night before and I had nothing organised, oh and I had to work the next day too)! Lucky for me I was saved by a recipe from the¬†gorgeous Lauren¬†over at¬†Create Bake Make , she’d posted it that day¬†(just for me I believe), a super easy, super quick,¬†super delicious looking Three Ingredient Mars Bar Fudge, the perfect¬†take-a-plate¬†treat for Mr 10 to contribute to his end of term Scout¬†gathering.

I knew I couldn’t make a trip to the supermarket (time just wasn’t in my favour, it never is!),¬†the pantry was all I had to source from so Create Bake Make’s original Mars Bar Fudge recipe (which I know would be absolutely delicious, all her recipes are) got tweaked a little becoming a White Chocolate Tim Tam &¬†Milk Chocolate¬†Fudge.

The end result was a huge success, Mr 10 returned home from Scouts the next day¬†with an empty container, reporting how much everyone had loved the fudge and how much he wanted to make another batch for everyone to enjoy here at home! I agreed we’d have to make some more during the school holidays.

Like a dog with a bone Mr 10 wasn’t going to let go of¬†this opening¬†for a fudge making¬†adventure. Everyday for the next four days he kept reminding me about¬†he and I¬†making the fudge. On the Sunday (the 2nd day of school holidays) I went to town to do some groceries and what do you know Coles conveniently had blocks of Cadbury Chocolate on sale! I spied the Salted Caramel block (I love salted caramel anything), a little Salted Caramel¬†theme started to hatch in my head for this proposed¬†fudge creating adventure!

I arrived home with the stock standard weekly grocery shop plus¬†a bonus 3 ingredients… 2 Blocks of¬†Cadbury Salted Caramel Chocolate, 1 packet of Salted Caramel Tim Tams and a tin of sweetened condensed milk.

3 Ingredient Salted Caramel Tim Tam Fudge Ingredients

With rainy, cold, miserable weather outside, Mr 10 (with my assistance) made some delicious school holiday fun inside, his 2 little sisters were quite obliging to join in with the taste tasting too!

This fudge was gone within 2 days, I will add we made sure we shared it with lots of people because the scary thing is I believe it still would have vanished in 2 days without the sharing! It’s that good!

I have so many great memories of spending time in the kitchen with my Mum and Dad and sister, and we all still cook/bake together now that I am nearly 30. The extra love makes things taste sweeter. I know there will be some eager taste testers in our house for this easy, delicious fudge too!

It’s delicious Shelby. Tim Tams are 2 slim biscuits with chocolate cream in between then covered in chocolate (they come in a whole range of flavours including salted caramel). You could use any of your favourite biscuits or chocolate bars as the mix in.
      So easy and so yummy!

      Hi Wendy.
Do you live in Australia? If you do you should be able to buy the Tim Tams at your nearest major supermarket. I got mine from Coles.
If you’re OS a Tim tam is 2 chocolate biscuits wedged together with chocolate cream and covered with milk chocolate to create a super delicious biscuit. They come in all different flavours including Salted Caramel. If you can’t find Tim Tams you could pretty much use any biscuit or chocolate bar as your mix in. Let me know if you need anymore help. ūüôā
